Computational Design

What is it?

Wii Voodoo is an interactive application that gives the user an impression they are watching Adam eat a meal in his kitchen. By moving the Nintendo Wii controller from side to side, they can physically move Adam in his seat. Unexpectedly however, a sort of game emerged to see who can make Adam sit up straight and eat his food.

How do you interact with it?

This ‘game’ is played by rolling the Wii controller left and right. The video of Adam moving in his chair is then played forward and backwards. The challenge lies in keeping the Wii remote perfectly level which in turn will make Adam sit up right.

Here's Adam about to fall out of his chair. If you roll the Wii remote back to the left, you could help him sit up.

The Interaction Design Programme

The Interaction Design Programme is a collaborative initiative between Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design (CIID) and The Danish Design School (DKDS). Our aim is for students, faculty and staff to work together in a multi-cultural, multidisciplinary studio environment to co-create a new kind of education that is relevant for academia and industry.
