Computational Design

Software is omnipresent. Software is Language. With software we can describe processes. With software we can describe intentions in a way that machines can process it.

In this course we investigate the manifold potentials of software. We looked at software as a concept for describing processes, as a medium for describing interactivity, and as a tool for telling stories.

In addition to a series of micro excursions on different topics of interest, the students worked on three exercises. The results were presented in a final exhibition.

The ‘Processing‘ programming environment will be our tool of choice.

The Interaction Design Programme

The Interaction Design Programme is a collaborative initiative between Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design (CIID) and The Danish Design School (DKDS). Our aim is for students, faculty and staff to work together in a multi-cultural, multidisciplinary studio environment to co-create a new kind of education that is relevant for academia and industry.

This site is a gallery of student work. For more information about the Interaction Design Programme please visit the website: http://ciid.dkds.dk/ - or contact us by email: info@ciid.dkds.dk.
